THIS SHOW IS NOW SOLD OUT!
Colorado band Hot Rize formed in 1978 with a unique and exciting style of bluegrass – considered both progressive and traditional – and took the bluegrass world by storm. Having separated in the 90s to break out into individual careers, this is their first major tour in 24 years (and we got them!). Their dynamic stage show made them stars on the major festival circuit and their powerful, original songs constantly topped radio playlists. The International Bluegrass Music Association named Hot Rize as Entertainer of the Year, the first such award ever given out by the organization.
Hot Rize features some of the greatest pickers on the planet: Tim O’Brien on mandolin, flat-picking legend Byran Sutton on guitar, Nick Forster on bass, and Pete Wernick on banjo. This show will also feature their wacky but musically deft "alter-ego" country swing band, Red Knuckles and the Trailblazers. Having reached the 36-year mark since its inception, Hot Rize continues to enhance its reputation as one of the leading bluegrass bands of all time with their fresh, contemporary approach to traditional music. This is a very special music event so make plans to join us.
