Identical twins Laurie and Katelyn Shook craft fresh, exciting, and original music they call quirky folk. The enchanting blend of their voices layers atop the already intricate band which features Niko Daoussis and Anna Tivel and boasts myriad instruments including banjo, acoustic and electric guitar, fiddle, electric and upright bass, mandolin, electronic drums, and even beat box. Amid their impressive run of major festivals and top venues, Shook Twins found time to compose a third album, “What We Do,” produced by Ryan Hadlock of The Lumineers fame. Noted singer-songwriter Mason Jennings said Shook Twins present “a unique personal music that lights up the stage with its joy and enthusiasm.” We welcome that energy to the Big Room.
